How do you eat bee pollen or jelly to boost energy?

March 29th, 2010 . by admin

I’ve heard that these are "miracle" products that can boost your energy and even make pregnant women have no morning sickness. How do you take it? And where can I get it?
By the way, I’m not pregnant. It was just something that I read and was curious about. Thanks for all the great answers so far!

Bee pollen is great for energy. It is a much better source of protein than whey and has more protien pound for pound than a steak. It has complex carbs to feed your muscles and add energy. Plus it is very high in B vitamins that are needed by your body to make energy. It has also been shown to be a libido enhancer for men. It could be because the pollen is collected from the "male" part of the plants.

Royal jelly has the highest natural source of vitamin B5 and biotin. These B vitamins are responsible for healthy skin. hair and nails. It has collagen to help repair cartillage damage. It has RNA and DNA the "precursers to life". It has been shown to naturally increase hormone levels in both men and women.

You should read the book written by Dr.Cass Ingram called "The Longevity Solutiuon". It has a lot of information in it. As for calling them "miracle" products, I don’t know about that, but they are probably the best natural product, because they are so packed full of vitamins and mineral. You would be hard pressed to find another food that has as many nutrients.

If you are considering royal jelly or bee pollen? I would recommend getting it fresh and not freeze dried. My personal observation has been that the freeze dried does not seem to be as affective as the fresh liquid royal jelly and unprocessed bee pollen. The best place to find it is at beeroyalproducts.com.

To take fresh royal jelly, you eat a spoonful (bee royal sends a spoon that is the proper serving size) in the monrning on an empty stomach. It is very bitter so drink a little orange juice and the taste will immediatley go away. DO NOT drink or eat anything hot for 20 minutes after taking it.

Bee pollen can be taken by a teaspoon (start out in smaller doses because some people get an upset stomach because they are not used to the high ammounts of nutrients and need to become acclimated to it). You can sprinkle it on cereal or mix it in your favorite smoothie.

I hope I helped. There is so much more information I could give but then the post would be to long.

Sorry about the spelling but the spell check is not working.

safe ways to boost energy after a long day at work?

March 22nd, 2010 . by admin

im currently working 10 hour shifts mon-fir and 8 hours on saturdays. i stay active at work. i am a machinist and im on my feet all day. when i get home im soo tired and i get nothing done cause of all the hours. after the holidays i tried cutting back on caffine and energy drinks and all i would do is sleep then. what are safe ways i can boost my energy without going back to the mountain dew and energy drinks?

I work from 5am to 5pm 5 days a week and sometimes on weekends, occasionally being assigned a 24hr shift here and there.

I try to geta 5 mile run in 3 times a week to keep the cardio up, and force good sleep habits to establish hours of wake and rest. It makes it easier to stay awake and have energy at certain points in the day, and settle for bed at the right moments.

So, it boils down to 3 things
1 Sleep
2 Diet
3 Exercise

(Or you can do what I did for 3 years of Graveyard shift, guzzle a 2 liter of Dr. Pepper a night).

Can anyone recommend vitamins/supplements, etc. for boosting energy?

March 8th, 2010 . by admin

I don’t take any vitamins at present and am also anemic. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I actually don’t take vitamins either, I saw a commercial for One A Day Energy. I’m sure they can be purchased at your local drug store. Hope that helps. Good Luck—

Boost Your Energy Candle Spell

March 4th, 2010 . by admin

This is a quick spell I use when I need that extra added energy. Light a red candle after you have blessed it and place in the middle of the pentacle. You will need Mild Chilli Powder which you can buy from any local supermarket or you can make your own. If you are wanting to make your own ‘Energy Boosting Powder’ you will need a tablespoon of the following ground herbs ‘Chillies, cumin, oregano & garlic powder’ Sprinkle this powder over the buring flame and say the following 3 times: “Herbs and Spices work your magic and hear my plea. Energy Boost I ask of thee, on this very day, so mote it be”. Visualise yourself having extra energy!

What foods aid in combating cfs (chronic fatigue syndrome) by boosting energy?

March 1st, 2010 . by admin

I want to stop drinking coffee

I have CFS, and here are some things I find helpful. :-)

Anything with spirulina such as Odwalla’s Superfood juice (it’s kind of expensive and it looks weird cos it’s green, but it tastes good and it’s worth it). There’s also one called Green Goddess that’s yummy but I can’t remember who makes it. There’s a protein shake powder called Spirutein that my doctor recommended, the vanilla and tropical flavors are good mixed with soy milk (especially Silk chocolate soy milk). The vanilla is also really good in orange juice, tastes like a creamsicle (though it turns a little green from the spirulina). It doesn’t work well in water and I haven’t tried cows milk. Doc said to have two shakes a day, but I usually just have a few a week so the container lasts quite a while.

When I stopped drinking caffeine I replaced it with E’mergen-C, which is a vitamin C drink. It comes in packets of powder that you mix with water, but they don’t get gritty or anything. I like the orange and raspberry flavors, both are better really cold (mix the powder before adding ice or it won’t incorporate). Since it’s high-dose vitamin C, you don’t want to take too much. When I first got off caffeine I took two packets twice a day, but now I just drink it when I need a pick-me-up (usually a few times a week).
