always feeling tired (Lack of energy)?

March 29th, 2010 . by admin

specially when I’m exercising , I’ve been exercising for 6 years and never felt that way b4 , I used to run for 1 hr , now its hard for me to run for 30 min , always feeling heavy , sleepy , and tired as if I’m taking cold and flu pills. I’ve purchsed vitamins to combat fatigue and to restore physical effeciency and its my first day today, my friend also told me to try driking Gatorade with the workout but I dont want to do that cuz it has lots of calories and im on 1200 cal diet. I cant break my diet. any Advice?

Hi.
Although the information you have given is incomplete I am sure you are overtrained which is a serious condition!!
http://www.physsportsmed.com/issues/2001/05_01/uusitalo.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overtraining
What you need to do is take a 2-3 week off with NO TRAINING at all!! Increase your intake of calories.
Does a car run without any fuel? The same applies to you. If you restrict your intake of calories for too long you won´t be getting the nutrients you need, your metabolism will slow down (which will make it easier for you to get fat prompting you to further reduce your caloric intake). You need to get your metabolism up by eating normally for a few weeks. Just increase your consumption slowly over the course of 5-10 days or so. Then you need to eat enough to maintain weight for some time and give your body time to recover. This will take some time, pending on how long you have been overtraining and how long you haven´t eaten enough.
You are going about this the wrong way!! Read well the articles I showed you and then rethink your strategy.
Good luck!!

Am always feeling tired.?

March 22nd, 2010 . by admin

Am always feeling tired. physically and mentally.

I sleep up to 8 hrs each day, and weekend probably 9hrs.

my diet is fairly good, i dont have much bread, pasta’s etc as it makes me more tired, when i eat anything i feel tired, even when eating snacks, even if its healthy food/snack. when i have my good sleep, i wake with a dead body. me legs have no energy.
i do aerobics 2x weekly and walking everyday for 30 min a day.
work front of a computer 6hr, but i do have 10/15min break.
when i want to sleep i cant, and when moments come where i shouldnt sleep, am nodding of.
what should i do? am not keen on tea or coffee, only have it when my head has fallen on the desk!!
I drink 1 litre of water a day

Diet and exercise can usually fix this. Some people find it better to work out in the morning. Some at night. You need to play around with your diet and exercise routine to see what works better. You should try bumping up how much you exercise as well as the intensity level you do it at. If there is no improvement then you could have a medical problem you should seek help for. It could be something as simple as low blood sugar levels. You won’t know for sure until you seek help.

March 15th, 2010 . by admin

No matter how much i sleep/dont sleep im always tired. i thought maybe its depression cos my gf really fcked me up and broke my heart like 5 months ago n i just got over her. or maybe its just me bein lazy ? i also have bad circulation or so im told because i have blue fingernails sometimes. im 16. anyone got an explanation ?

You may be anemic – when you have anemia, your blood can’t carry enough oxygen to your brain so you have decreased mental functioning, feel tired overall and have a harder time concentrating.

March 8th, 2010 . by admin

am always feeling tired and sick i was ment to start my period last wednesday but al late but the i also have just stoped going on the pill as it was giving me bad headaches would that cause my period to be late?? but i had sex around one month ago and it was unprotected. could i be pregnent?

if the last time you had unprotected sex was 1month ago and are already late on your period then you can take a home pregnancy test now to be sure. it sounds like you could be pregnant but then again it could be your body getting used to being off the pills

wat cud be the reason of my always feeling tired eventhough i don’t do anything exhausting?

March 1st, 2010 . by admin

i wake up every morning and i feel like i’v had a hectic night. i’m on holiday, so i don’t do anything during the day. i don’t go anywhere because i’m always too tired to. is something wrong with me?

Chronic Fatingue Syndrome, it sounds like. There can be a million different causes. Some people are just born with a naturally slow metabolism. A lack of physical activity can slow your metabolism, as well (which can be hard to combat because the less you exercise, the more tired you get, and the harder it is to start exercising). Poor diet is a common culprit. Poor sleep habits, excessive caffeine… even too much masturbating can do it to you! (every guy knows first thing u wanna do after popping off is take a nap! It’s the hormonal release that does it). Being overweight can create a physical strain on your system that can cause fatigue.

There are also a number of illnesses that can have the same effect. These range from simple colds and anemia to more serious things like mono, lyme disease, etc. And certainly some of the most horrifying ailments are typically accompanied by fatigue, but don’t worry about that unless you have other readily-apparent symptoms. It’s still good to have a doctor check you out.

I think 8 times out of 10, it’s lack of physical activity that does it. It’s just like how muscles grow stronger through continuous usage, your metabolism works in quite a similar fashion. If your body becomes too accustomed to inactivity, it adjusts to it by lowering metabolism and making your bodily functions mroe slow-paced. You move slower, think slower, talk slower, and generally live slower. People who are always on the go build up high metabolisms to compensate for that, so they’re always ready for more action. You just need to find ways to inject some more activity into your life, whether it’s going to the gym or running or playing sports, hiking, skiing, travelling, kayaking…

It can be tough in today’s world since most places are designed for lots of driving, standing, and sitting. And a lot of us have developed hobbies that revolve around sitting in front of some piece of consumer electronics, so the things I listed might not seem too fun. But that’s what it usually biols down to as the most common cause of chronic fatigue: a sedentary lifestyle.
