Am always feeling tired. physically and mentally.
I sleep up to 8 hrs each day, and weekend probably 9hrs.
my diet is fairly good, i dont have much bread, pasta’s etc as it makes me more tired, when i eat anything i feel tired, even when eating snacks, even if its healthy food/snack. when i have my good sleep, i wake with a dead body. me legs have no energy.
i do aerobics 2x weekly and walking everyday for 30 min a day.
work front of a computer 6hr, but i do have 10/15min break.
when i want to sleep i cant, and when moments come where i shouldnt sleep, am nodding of.
what should i do? am not keen on tea or coffee, only have it when my head has fallen on the desk!!
I drink 1 litre of water a day
Diet and exercise can usually fix this. Some people find it better to work out in the morning. Some at night. You need to play around with your diet and exercise routine to see what works better. You should try bumping up how much you exercise as well as the intensity level you do it at. If there is no improvement then you could have a medical problem you should seek help for. It could be something as simple as low blood sugar levels. You won’t know for sure until you seek help.

my girlfriend is pregnant and she is always tired and has no energy. is there anything she can take or do or i can do so she has more energy? she wants to be more active but she is always tired, atleast this is what she is telling me. any suggestions?
She is going to be tired till she hits the 2nd trimester. Then she will lose energy again towards the end of the pregnancy. Her body is going through a lot right now and eats up all her energy. It’s just part of being pregnant.

This week in our office we have a bug going around that is giving us all some odd symptoms. We have all felt tired and achy, but there are other weird symptoms that are bothering us! We all feel very panicked and shaky for no reason, we feel like there is a huge weight pressing on our skulls and nauseous, as well as cold.
None of us are particularly unwell in terms of a head cold, actual vomiting or diarrhoea but it is annoying.
What is it?
When your body is fighting a bug it sends all of its energy and resources into getting rid of the bug. This means that the rest of your body feels low in energy and and shaky. Make sure you are eating properly and drinking enough water and you will all feel better soon.

I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 1990. Then several years later they tell me that I have Fibromalgia. They same it is one in the same illness but I do not agree. My fatigue and muscle pain are totally different. Do you know of anyone who has overcome these illnesses? Please be as specific as possible on the different symptoms and range of treatment that you are aware of. Thanking you in Advance!
I have been diagnosed with CFS and Fibromalgia since 1990. This was prior to many people ever hearing of it. Two years before that I was treated by a Rhumatologist for Lupus. He fed me Prednisone for a year and I had to take myself off of them. I went to Vocation Rehab from my work and the couselor had a mother who had what sounded like what I was telling her. She gave me several books to read and I was certain that was what was wrong with me. The problem was the docotors at that time knew nothing about it and did not belive in it. My counselor told me of a new clinic in Charlotte, NC that was treating nothing but my illness. It tooks 9 mos. to get the appointment.
I went to the Hunter-Hopkins Clinic and with extensive testing and thousands of dollars later I had a diagnoses. I remeber crying because for 4 yrs. I thought no one believe in the severe pain and debilitating fatigue I was experiecing It was just a relief to know it was not all in my head. .
Over the years, I have tried about every thearpy and medicine there is for this illness. I tried the hydro-cold water thearpy and it only made my joints and pressure points hurt worse. I got an outdoor jacuzzi tub, only to relalize that the heat was too much for the fatige and it made me weak and I would faint. I also tried, hypnotherpy, acupuncture and every herb and vitamin. Nothing really worked.
My blood pressure went down dangeroulsy low and they did a tilit test on me and I passed out. I was sent to a cardologist to have that check and after extensive tesing he gave me medicine to rasie my blood presssure. However, after 6 months, my blood pressuer was too high and I had to take meds to lower it.
The worst part of all this is the chronic and severe depression I got from being so ill. I no longer take anything other than a my antidepressant, vitamins D, B2 and I take a special formula of B-12 injections. This seems to be helping. The major problem with this illness is that is it an auto-immune problem or dysfunctional immune system. My system make respond to a certain me mediciation for a period of time, but I have to constantly keep changing. My immune system will just stop respondng to them..
There have been those who get over it if they catch it in time but unfortunately I did not. I do believe these are two seperate illneness in the same auto-immune family. But, you can have one without the other. If you pace yourself and do only what your body will allow and do moderate excercise, you can to learn to live with devastating and debilitating illness. Whether it is one or both. I pray you will learn to take it one day at a time and get the rest when your body is warning you. Hang In There, I still believe they are close to finding a real cure!

No matter how much i sleep/dont sleep im always tired. i thought maybe its depression cos my gf really fcked me up and broke my heart like 5 months ago n i just got over her. or maybe its just me bein lazy ? i also have bad circulation or so im told because i have blue fingernails sometimes. im 16. anyone got an explanation ?
You may be anemic – when you have anemia, your blood can’t carry enough oxygen to your brain so you have decreased mental functioning, feel tired overall and have a harder time concentrating.

I’m always tired during the day esp. on days when I have to head off to work..what could be causing this? I get 8 hours of sleep…could it be because i sleep at 4 am this is causing this problem?
yeah 4-12 since work for me starts at 2, thanks for all the answers guys!
I reckon you should try getting in a relaxed state before you go to bed too, you dont generally have to be in sleep to gain energy and strength for the next day…
So, if you are about to go to bed, have a soothing bath and drink warm cocoa.
Try getting even MORE hours of sleep, this may should silly, but your body may be wanting even more hours sleep as some people need more than others, you just need to find out what number of hours you need each night and once you know, make a habit of getting that number of sleep every night.
At weekends, it’s hard to get the same ammount of sleep without ruining your routeen, so if it gets to the time you usually go to sleep in the week when its the weekend, simply try to relax and get some rest even though you aren’t getting any sleep.
If you are simply partying out and about on a saturday night or friday, then just carry on as you are until you get home and then you know you have to cacth up on your sleep on sunday night and try to gain them hours you didnt get to sleep on that sunday night by going to bed earlier.
